Gawain 0 #1 August 19, 2008 That's the most comprehensive list I could find. I added Sen. Clinton myself, even though I know she's not going to be it. I heard a radio report that he might announce tomorrow, but I wonder if we won't see anything until the convention. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! BikerBabe 0 #8 August 19, 2008 Well, i voted for who i HOPE he picks. There's really only a couple people on the list who have pretty much everything he needs in one package, but each of course has their flaws, as well. I voted for Bill Richardson. Hispanic vote? check. Important state? Check. IMPORTANT federal govt. experience? Check. International political experience? Check. Major switch to being an Obama supporter early on? Check. His downside is that he's not the best campaigner. To me the good FAR FAR outweighs this. "Former Secretary of Energy" HAS to hold a huge amount of weight when Obama is looking at running mate experience, especially in a year where energy policy is perhaps the single biggest issue behind the war in Iraq. Not to mention the hispanic vote. I think Richardson on the ticket not only will help him with current hispanic voters...it will bring more previously-unregistered hispanic voters to the polls. I know "ethnic votes" is a stupid thing, i hate it, but it's a fact of life in america these days...Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup! AggieDave 6 #9 August 19, 2008 I hope that he picks Hillary and that causes the campaign to absolutely implode. Then I also hope that James Monroe rises from the grave and wins as an independent. Well, this is SC and SC isn't based in reality, so I get to choose my own election fantasy! --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." He's a tool of policy, which is why he was a good Secretary of State. There has been some rumbling that he may endorse Sen. Obama, but I don't think that's happening. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light!
