No.. but that is what the fringe right religious whackjobs want you to believe.. So since you deride the republicans for claiming to, will you now deride the democrats for doing the same? I will. If Nancy does not "talk" to God then how does she know that BO is a blessing from him? Could it be that her lips were moving? And if her lips are moving then what follows is normally BS. Do you really not know the difference between talking and listening?... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

Do you really not know the difference between talking and listening? My mistake. I did not realize that Prophet Pelosi was getting unsolicited revelations from on high. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

No more than any other of several billion Christians/Jews/Islamist/Hindus etc. in believing that all good things come from their God.... billvon 3,173 #29 August 20, 2008 >then how does she know that BO is a blessing from him? The same way you know that God blesses America, and that we all trust in God. It is indeed funny. A president claims that God tells him to do things - crickets from the right. A supporter of a presidential candidate says that she is blessed - and the right wing can't pound their keyboards fast enough to show their outrage. (And if you still need something to get you going - I heard someone sneezed the other day and Obama said "bless you!" DOES HE THINK HE'S GOD? Now pound those keys some more!) Let's try that a different way, shall we? Maybe it'll show the (normal) hypocrisy a bit more clearly. Republican makes reference to God: Libs spouts off about religious fundamentalists, derangement, etc. Democrat makes reference to God: Crickets from the libs.Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. I have no problem with references to God. "Bless you." "We've been blessed by good weather." "God bless America" "In God we trust" "One nation under God" etc etc. As long as you're not forcing people to say it, fine. I have a bit of a problem with a leader who thinks God tells him to do stuff, whether it's a democrat, a republican, a US leader, an Iranian leader, a Christian or a Muslim. Because the stuff God (or Allah, or Yahweh, or Vishnu) tells him to do might not always be benign. And again, I suspect you are exactly the same way. That's because the deranged fundamentalists all vote Republican, while normal Christians are roughly evenly divided.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
