Well, I think that covers just about everything for a SC thread. My heart goes out to the friends and families effected by this tragedy. My heart also goes out to the first responders that are involved and the officers that had to use lethal force on the subject.

I'm sorry, but that's a pretty big jump from the facts I saw available in the news story. At this point it would be just as valid to say something about another left wing democrat caught dicking someone he shouldn't with more tragic results than usual. Probably both are incorrect and it'll turn out to be some unbalanced assailant with reasons that were only real to him.

I think the fringe right has a far more successfull track record in the mayhem they have brought to this country.

I expect the next few years they will not be as quiet as they have the last few years that they have been in agreement with the direction of the country.

The article I read said he got out of the truck and started firing at police. Either way, his death was well-earned.

This has some eerie similarities to another case. The gunman in this case first went to the Arkansas Baptist State Convention brandishing his gun. A few weeks back, another gunman opened fire in a church in Tennessee, killing two people. His stated cause was hatred of liberals and democrats.

Maybe so. I haven't read much....just heard about it all afternoon as it was on my doorstep. The word I got was that the guy was found dead after crashing his truck after being shot. It makes more sense that he would have gotten out of the truck and fired at officers. You know how rumors travel....and as far as the gunman goes, that's what I heard.
