Amazon 7 #1 August 7, 2008 Is there a downside to going barefoot to the range?? IT is summer after all and I know some people do like to be comfortable in the summer heat. Is there a time and place for everything.. and every mode of dress or undress.. or unshoe???

Amazon 7 #4 August 7, 2008 The Thompson is far more fun... and I sure as hell would not tell if I did have one. There are a couple places in the Vegas area that rent full auto for a nominal fee if you want to rock and roll with some very nice weapons.

Amazon 7 #7 August 7, 2008 I am a firm believer in making the lead go downrange myself...then again there are those who manage that self induced lead poisioning thing.

Some munitions are very smoky, and I don't want to see if its contents will be absorbed through the skin.

JohnRich 4 #13 August 8, 2008 QuoteIs there a downside to going barefoot to the range?? Not real smart, IMO. First, you may have some hot brass, from either your gun or someone else's, bounce onto your feet. And then your reaction when you dance to get it off might have you waving a loaded gun around in an unsafe manner. Second, you will need to go downrange to check and post targets, right? And that area might be covered with empty shell casings with sharp edges, broken glass, staples and gosh knows what else. Cover up those tootsies.
