Example of US.A's problem

Recommended Posts

I posted a question to Obama and McCain on CNN's website. To date, niether has answered. How can I take either of them seriously if they won't answer my question I put on the internet? They are both useless and self-serving. We should make them do this position with virtually no pay or compensation for their time.

Exactly! I recently mailed a letter demanding that my local congressional representative (Bilbray) attend a Perris fundraiser for an injured jumper. And you know what? THEY DIDN'T SHOW! How can I take them seriously if they refuse to help anyone? What a git.

How long ago did you post it? You have any clue how many questions have likely been submitted?

Doesn't matter...I am a voter and I demand answers. They obviously don't care cause they didn't respond. I will just vote for Mr. T.......he at least gave me a return comment on Myspace.

Just another example of a self serving politician. He is out of touch with the average person in Perris. I can't believe he didn't show or at least send you some money...WTF is America coming to?

Well there ya go, Swoop. You've been razzed by an idiot who thinks people actually are laughing with him and not at him because he got caught in a pic trying to extend his anatomy with a candy wrapper.

Who's the real man here Swoop? You should probably STFU and try to learn something from the Skittles dude.

How exactly does this work? To think I've been wasting my money on penis pumps, when all I needed was a 79 cent confection? Shit.

I'm just saying it gets annoying as hell when people make posts like this. They just take the title of the other persons post change it slightly and then (usually) say retarded shit.

Have ya read most of the bonfire...it's mostly ALL retarded shit

True....BUT, Kelly you miss out on three very key points.

1. He is wearing sunglasses is his profile pic and....

2. He has a myspace page...which I am sure that Mr. T has informed him he knows far more in his long time in the sport....and

3. Red skittles rock.....so you need to STFU!!!,,,,(but purple skittles are gay

So, Kelly, maybe you need to "check yo self" before bashing this post.

If this is retarted shit, please inform this retard (me) what you have done for the sport and UPSA?

Thats different. But the way I read it, it appears you are ripping on the other thread with pretty much the same title. where all he is doing is pointing out that no one responded to his question. and hoping to get an answer. It's logical to expect them to respond here seeing as how as big of a deal as the uspa is their elections dont get tv coverage. if not here where can someone expect to get a response.(uspa meetings yeah but its not like they are held at your local city hall where you just have to drive a couple mins) its way different than obama or mccain responding to a question and you know it. im gonna go out on a limb here but i'd have to say that the uspa candidates don't get nearly the volume of mail that the obama and mccain campaigns do.

Phone calls and emails are great but that only gets the answer to one person at a time. Wouldn't it be more useful for a candidate to post on a forum where the answer can get to plenty of people at once. I'm not saying emailing and calling are a bad way to do it. but when you are first running and trying to get elected doesn't it make a lot of sense to get your views and positions out to as many people as you possibly can? And therefore wouldn't it be in a candidates best interest to answer questions like this in a public setting?

Easy answer - no. It would instantly be used by partisan hacks as a way to "trap" candidates into saying things to be used against them. "Do you still hate america" "do you really think you're so smart" etc.

Ok, I have not been around the sport for long and therefore haven't been through a USPA BOD election but does it really get that heated?

Is this really a problem with "the U.S.A.?"

Do French citizens often get personal replies to questions posed to their president?

Do you understand that there are 300,000,000 people in the U.S.A. and it is physically impossible for each citizen to be able to get direct access to a leader of so many.

I know we're not talking about the president of the U.S., but even senators have millions of constituents. How can they answer specific questions posed by any given one of them.

Do you really mean to say that you have been done wrong because no one got back to you? Was there a fair expectation on your part that they would?

Dear Readers:

I'm sure that this original posting was tongue in cheek. He's making fun of, through the use of mimicry, this thread:

http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3289928;#3289278

To all of you who took him seriously, you've been "had".

No, I knew thats what he was doing. It annoys me when people do that. Don't know why, it just does.
