AggieDave 6 #26 July 11, 2008 There are some guys getting FN-P90s, that's a bitch'n rifle. If H&K would release the MR223 then I'd get one of those, but I'm not supposed to have a SHF button so the 416 is out. Just the tactical ninjas get those. (SHF= Shit Hits the Fan)--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
mnealtx 0 #27 July 11, 2008 I'm not familiar with the FN-P90... the one that I saw looked like one of the flat-top HK variants, but with an op-rod rather than direct gas impingement for cycling - I like that idea a LOT better. I could probably be convinced to take a DGI system rifle in, say... 6.5mm Grendel....as long as they're going to provide the first 10k rounds!!! Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. craddock 0 #29 July 11, 2008 It is a Roth-Steyr Model 1907. It has an internal magazine and uses a stripper clip to load from the top. Caliber is 8mm That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
warpedskydiver 0 #30 July 11, 2008 Quote Which ever. It shows a lack of tactical ability. Now I'm not a whiz-bang tactical ninja like some of the guys on the boards here, but I know that its easy to get stuffed and not be able to get your weapon on target like that. Besides, if you AD then you'll be near deaf in one ear. If you're a lefty then you'll get hit in the face by the hot casing too! Not anymore, since the advent of the case deflector on all M-16 family of weapons starting with the A2 and all following variants. Unless you count shaved receivers. JohnRich 4 #31 July 11, 2008 QuoteMine does its a M1 GARAND its called a clip. I have three different types of clips for my Garands (left to right): 1) Standard 8-round clip. 2) 2-round clip. This is for certain types of competition where you fire a 10-round string of rapid fire in 60 seconds. You start with two rounds in a clip like this, fire them, then insert a second clip with 8 rounds to finish. Although you don't really need this kind of specialty clip. You can just drop a regular empty 8-round clip in the mag well, then click two rounds down inside it. 3) This one is called a SLED, for single load enhancement device. It clicks down inside the magazine well, and stays there. It allows you to click single rounds on top of it for single shot competition stages. To remove it, you push the clip release toggle on the left side of the receiver. Again though, you don't really need this device. You can single feed rounds directly into the chamber with your fingers. 4) A fourth type, which I don't have, is like #2, only it's a 5-round clip. This is for hunting, because some states limit magazine capacity to 5-rounds for hunting. You don't want to get caught with an 8-round clip in the field, because an officer could write you a ticket. craddock 0 #33 July 11, 2008 Not currently and my ex took my camera. I could upload one taken with my phone later if you would like. Do a google search on it. Interesting enough while I have the firearm and a holster, I don't actually have any stripper clips for it. Back when ebay let you list firearm related stuff there were Stripper clips for it from time to time relatively inexpensive. Most woul be shipped from Europe which would add to the cost, but I never got around to ordering bidding on one. The seemed abundent enough that I just never got to concerned with it, and it can be hand loaded one at a time. One of these days I need to set aside some time and track some down and order them. Ammo is also very hard to find. Locally I have a hard time even finding Ammo for my first production year 1894 winchester. Winchester is going to make another run next year which they do every few years That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side. councilman24 37 #35 July 11, 2008 A broom handle mauser uses stripper clips. Of course so does my AR15 and MADI AK variant, as well as all pistols that use either AR or AK mags. I have bandoleers full of stripper clips for each. As well as the SKS that uses the stripper clips directly. So there are four semi auto/ full auto rifles that use clips. My CETME might. And many varients of rifle action based pistols that use them, as well as the broom handle mauser. And that's just from memory. Next question?I'm old for my age. What in the hell would compell you to advertise your munitions like this? It's f*ukkin stupid. What, do you live down the road from Wayne Lapierre, or Ted Nugent?
