Gawain 0 #1 June 2, 2008 Quoted from this article: QuoteThe most ominous statement in a long, contentious day came from senior Clinton strategist Harold Ickes, a member of the Rules and Bylaws Committee, which met in Washington: "Mrs. Clinton has instructed me to reserve her rights to take this to the credentials committee." This is not as clear an indicator to me as one may think, though I believe that she will take this to the convention. While he was making fun of her, that Priest Michael Pfleger was partially correct. From the beginning of the campaign, Sen. Clinton has certainly seen this as a birth-right. She won't bow out. She can't bow out. They'll scorch the party before they do that.So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! lawrocket 3 #2 June 2, 2008 I believe that the credentials committee is going to make a stand before that happens. Before it gets to the floor, the credentials committee has to recommend seating those delegates. I do not believe that it will make such a recommendation - UNLESS Obama already has enough delegates to win. Furthermore, we'll likely see a whole slew of superdelegates stating their support for Obama to put him over the top and secure his nomination. Once Obama's nomination is secure, the credentials committee will recommend that th eDNC seat all delegates from Michigan and Florida. The first item of business at the convention will be to seat those delegates. That way the Dems can say that all voters were given their voice, and they can hug about how fair they are to everyone - the sort of party that would NEVER deny suffrage. (Dems don't screw voters. The GOP does, now matter HOW many times the Dems screw voters, it's only the GOP that does it). And Hillary will be the person who stood up for the rights of every voter - except those who caucused in Las Vegas. They didn't support her. My wife is hotter than your wife. masterrig 1 #3 June 3, 2008 I can't keep-up with the Democrats! What a confusing mess. Delegates, super Delegates... back-sliding delegates, uncertain delegates... what a mess! According to the AP, Hillary is about to concede defeat and she is 'willing' to be Obama's VP. Others are saying she's in for the duration. If, Hillary makes it to the Whitehouse as either Pres. or VP, it's just going to be a mess. that woman can't keep a straight thought, makes shit up that she doesn't know, she back-slides and denies things we know she did. She gets her facts screwed-up and I think she is just plain crooked. She had no business running in the first place. She just doesn't have what it takes. masterrig 1 #5 June 4, 2008 A match made in heaven! You, may be on to something! What I don't understand is, she tried to tear Obama to ribbons during the campaign... now, she wants to be Obamas running mate! She's a power hungry whack job with too much baggage. If I was Obama, I wouldn't go near her. Chuck
