The only Conservative Christians who bother me.. are the ones who want to turn MY country into a fucking theocracy.....freedom of religion be damned.

That attitude of legislating morality and values into our society is a road that is getting far too much play by the "religious wrong".. because they expect all of us to adhere to their particular far right theology that they wish EVERYONE to follow.

In the context you use here, yes I agree, some on both sides scare me too. And understand, I am not supporting or condemning either side. I do not think it is rational in many cases

Sure seems like it starts on the right and is countered by the left most of the time. The Wright thing is a good example. Not that there aren't left wingnuts who try to start it as well but it just seems that the right makes more noise and gets the national attention. That's why I listen to Hannity and Limbaugh every once in a while so I'll know what insignificant drivel they're trying to inflate into a scandal.

the problem is when it's the other guy, one doesn't notice, you just nod and accept it as normal
