As much as I hate to defend Obama, I find it amazing the the crap he's received from the media and the right because of some comments that were taken out of context to make his preacher (minister, or whatever he wants to be referred to) appear to be preaching hate. Personally, aside from his comment about the government creating AIDS to kill off black people, his comments weren't really that far off the mark. They were probably a bit less diplomatic than most would prefer, but they weren't hateful. I wonder how many hours of his sermons had to be sifted through to get the sound bites they got.
