Is God trying to tell us something?

Oh YES, I CAN prove it was written by God through his chosen people.

No you cant...you are a liar...or dilusional. otherwise prove us all wrong...i dare you.... *yawn*

I could show you so many things to substantiate it, it would take some time, but I sure could prove it beyond the slightest doubt.

No you cant

And you certainly WILL bow before Christ....no doubt about that at all.

No i wont, and neither will you..

Nope.. BUT.. the Reagan Administration and the right wing gave it a chance to run rampant for several years without lifting a finger because it was a GAY disease....and gods wrath on gays.

Too bad they did not see it as a human issue.. because far more straight humans have died of it than gays so far[:/]

Letting them die because they're "just" fags -- I would say that matches up just fine with the mentality back then.

Bill: Once again you are reading it wrong.

Genesis 1:24 tells us that God said, let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind; and CATTLE after their kind, and creeping thing after his kind, and the beast of the earth after his kind, AND IT WAS SO,
See also Genesis 1:25

And God said " let us make man in our image, and after our likeness, and let them have dominion etc etc. Genesis 1:26

And so God created man in His own image, male and female He created them Gen 1:27)And God blessed hem and said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply and replenish the earth ( Gen 1:28

Finishing the rest of the Chapter of creation, God then tells us in a more explicit manner of the things Hehad already done.

He begins saying that before He created man, there was not a man to till the ground.

So God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.

Here He is telling you a more detailed explanation of how he created man, as earlier told in Genesis 1:27.28.

The whole description of creation is made up of 797 words in the 31 verses of Chapter 1, and there is a summation of 67 words in the first three verse of Chapter 2. which give us a toptal of 864 words.

However, you might find it interesting that in the 31 verses of Chapter 1, and the 67 words of Chapter 2, there are a total of 3167 letters,

31 verses......67 words....31-67 letters; the same as the FULLNESS of creation and its summation, in 31 verses and the summation of 67 words.

After that, then God details the events more closely in the balance of Chapter 2....sort of recaping the creation story in more detail.

Cattle FIRST Man last........ and there are NO translation errors.

The errors are only there when itis misread without Spiritual direction and understanding.

the names of Cains children are Enoch, and Cain builded a city and named it after his son ( Genesis 4:17), and unto Enoch was born Irad, and he begat Mehujael, and he begat Lamech.(Ch 4:18)

There is a lot of symbolism in God's WORD, but one has to know and understand which is symbolism and which is litereal.

One well known example is God sees a day as equal to a thousand years, and a thousand years as a day. That does not mean a thousand years is as a day to mankind, for we view everyday as one on a calendar. God is not limited to things as are men.

To man, a day means 24 hours. God owns all time, and that is very different than we see it.

So your all powerful, all knowing, all etc... God created your Bible but only those people with "spiritual direction and understanding" can read it correctly ... :D

That is about the first accurate thing you've posted
Butters.

Anyone can get Spiritual direction and understanding if he seeks it from God, but taking a blasphemous stand against a God whom you do not know anything about, will never bring spiritual direction fromHim.

NO NO....just the truth.

You aren't telling the truth. You are just another Christian holding your Bible in one hand and casting stones with the other ...

Edit: Why do you keep avoiding my question? If some of your children accepted Jesus Christ and some of your children didn't would you consider yourself to be a loving father if you killed all of your children to punish the children that didn't?

Holding a bible in one hand and casting stones? I agree with that

But not the "christian" part. The righteous do just fine, the "self righteous" don't get jack.

Its a very stupid question. I believe it shows your mind isnt working on all cylinders.

Are you afraid to answer the question ... afraid of the truth?

PS: Feel free to keep belittling people ... I'm sure that is what Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour would have wanted. :S

RIGHT.....he should have said BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN.

nonsense, you are actively representing the worst and most reprehensible of what christianity is supposed to stand for

attitudes and actions like yours have single handedly driven more people from church than any other cause in recent history

your cause has nothing to do with helping or 'saving' others, it's all about putting yourself up on prideful pedestal

the subgroup of the self righteous (and it's a pretty good sized contingient - I bet around 5%) is such a huge shortfall with organized religion, I don't see how the damage will ever be exercised. This subgroup defines all the rest of religious people for your rabid anti-religious activists - many of which you see on these boards

on the religion subject you and a couple unnamed posters here could completely cancel each other out - perhaps we could even use the energy release to power my cars for the next decade

IMHO, of course

Still can't answer the question ... someone is afraid of the truth and it isn't me.

Zing!! Well said.

Humbleness is a virtue. Shaking your fist and thumping the bible turns off a lot of people.

When I was a very young kid, my parents took us (my brother included) to church regularly. When a woman from that church showed up at our door and bluntly told my mom that God was punishing her because I was born deaf. That was it. They never went to church again for Sunday services. That's the hardest my mom has ever slammed a door in anybody's face. Dad had to spackle the cracks in the drywall around the door frame. :P

It's not a 'zing', chuteless is likely a pretty decent guy that means well, but those posts are crap and unkind and not worthy of what I thought christians like to think of themselves.

as an agnostically bent type (or just bent) it torques me to see people so well versed taking so completely wrong - rabid fundamentalists sadden me as much as the rabid religion haters.

Faith based belief systems could be such a strong and positive social tool if applied correctly and sincerely - it's the lack of sincerity that corrupts it, and the piss poor application of those that really are sincere that ruin the rest of it.

Normally that kind of callousness comes from the other end of the spectrum.

Thank you rehmwa. I could not have said it better myself.

I think more than anything else, that attitude drove me from so called houses of worship.

The bible speaks of the rise of many false prophets in the latter days... and we dont need to look very far to find them.[:/]

I truely believe that christ came here to teach people how to live with one another and how to seek enlightenment... and "christians" have done a very poor job in following his words.

So true... Islam has their fundamentalists, and we call them terrorists. Then there's Westboro Baptist and doomsday cults here.

I would rather talk with a humble christian than one who would sooner shove his bible down my throat screaming "repent!" :S

If you can get a life, it could only be an improvement of intelligence from what you exhibit now.

Anything would help.

Talk about somebody who thinks they have all the right answers. Your biggest emphasis seems to be "I know, and you'll see eventually" with the only supporting material being some people's interpretation of the Bible.

I realize this gets to the fundamental distinction of the 2 camps (one being faith-based and the other relying on deductive reasoning); but isn't your being so sure about what you feel you know without much to support your assertions, while dismissing what others think they know via deductive logic a bit like saying I know you are but what am I.
