happythoughts 0 #3 April 28, 2008 Quote Does knowing that Scientology is bullshit ever make you wonder about your own beliefs? There is a large difference here. It is obvious that Scientology has no hats. All religions have rules. They all have a book. In fact, L. Ron Hubbard was a science fiction writer. Some of his characters from his early books appear in Scientology (The presence of Thetans). They all have books that can be proven to predict the future of the world, and the incumbent woe of the non-believers. All these books are equally valid. The Catholics have a "mitre". The mitre was originally a turban. mitre QuoteThe Mitznefet is the head covering worn by the Kohen Gadol (High Priest) when he served in the Mishkan (Tabernacle) and the Temple in Jerusalem. The word has been translated as "mitre" or "headdress". It was most likely a "turban", as the word comes from the root "to wrap". All the religions based from the Middle East have turbans involved. (Jesus was not Caucasian, get over it.) The Israelites showed up in Canaan and said, "You worship Baal and your religion has no hats. Convert or we kill you and take your land." There it is. The history of the ME. The Vikings? Excellent. Hats with horns. Functional and accessorized. Thus, the presence of natural blonds in Sicily 1100 years later. American Indians? Buffalo hats with, once again, horns. Alas, poor technology loses, regardless of the religious quality. Until the Scientologists get good hats, no one will take them seriously. If you are too hungover to make it to class, you just tell the professor that it was a religious holiday. "The epicenter of the formitude of Xenu" They'll be afraid to ask.
