Amazon 7 #2 April 21, 2008 DUH Conversely, the administration has demonstrated that there is a price for sustained criticism, many analysts said. “You’ll lose all access,” Dr. McCausland said. The Administration likes YES MEN.. this extends beyond those who are still working for them into those who have retired... I see this as a continuation of the same mentality that Nixon had.. demanding utter loyalty or else you made the "enemies" list. So many of the current crop of yes men trained under Nixon.. its a sad legacy for our country.
lawrocket 3 #3 April 21, 2008 No kidding. And independent military analysts should probably get more than one side of the story, too. My wife is hotter than your wife.
kelpdiver 2 #4 April 21, 2008 Hillary didn't tolerate dissent well either, even as First Lady. I think historically the White House has acted like any political animal - piss it off and you pay the consequences. Nixon and Shrub likely represent the extreme examples, but I don't think you'll find it much better with Kennedy, *LBJ* especially, or Clinton.
