Like a green algae bloom in a pond, we reproduce, over consuming our limited natural resources until there is nothing left, multiplying, until we start dying from starvation. Agreeing with your point of overpopulation, maybe we shouldn't be out in the world trying to save everyone from everything (starvation, disease). Maybe there are too many people as it is, and these issues are natures way of re-balancing things. Maybe we should let nature take it's course.

Maybe now is the time to embrace Al Gore's idea of going green. Maybe we should all start to walk/bike to work. Americans seem to have issues with obesity, so this could solve 2 problems at once. But this might be too drastic a change for most people. We all have our priorities don't we.

It's something I do think worthy of discussion. But at the moment I'm still trying to figure out the numerous reasons why - I want to see what crucial factors are causing things to be shit - without doing so; how on earth could I then discuss methods or suggestions to deal with the problems?

But looking at your logic, I don't want old men battered and mugged for a pint of milk, but it happens. I don't want children attacking their teachers, but it happens. I don't want children to become 'adultised' yet it happens. Add in a further few thousand examples as you see fit - they still happen. So whilst such examples don't necessarily make poeple or society shit, the increasing frequency of such incidents indicate our society becoming more immoral, and shit. Even if it's just fucking McDonalds adverts repeating 'I'm lovin' it' again and again.

Psychology has it's applications but it doesn't provide the answers.
