Ok, so something happened to me this week that has just chapped my ass. At first I was just blowing it off but the more I think of it, the more pissed I get.

A couple days ago the weather here was great. We had a light wind, a great sunset and temps in the low 60's. So I decided to step out back of my condo on my patio and fire up a nice cigar and have a scotch. It has been to cold for me to smoke up here all winter so I was really enjoying my smoke and drink of the evening. As I was puffin the evening away some lady who I have never seen before was walking by on the sidewalk about 30 feet from my patio who I later find out also lives in the complex came up and told me my cigar was bothering her. I thought she was a joking at first and replied with a "thats nice" and took a big puff. Thats when she got mad and asked me to put it out and began to tell me how bad second hand smoke is. I smiled, took a sip of my beverage and told her she should keep walking then. That really pissed her off and she threatened to go to the HOA against me. I am so pissed now I cannot believe it.


For christ sake, a grown man cannot even step out of his own home to smoke anymore. It's not like it is an every night deal. Plus this lady doesn't even live near me. I asked my neighbors if the smoke bothered them after I first moved in and none of them even noticed. Why do people always need the stick their noses in other peoples business? Ok, rant over. WoW I feel better.

Here's what you do:

Find where she lives, the car she drives, etc.

Find anything wrong with her car, and make a report to her about the vehicle's condition. Maybe she's got a bumper sticker that is offensive.

Next time you see her walking, talk to her. Mention that the scent she is wearing is offensive and hazardous to the health of others, and print out these research abstracts regarding the potentially lethal effects of her selfishness. http://members.aol.com/DonationDrive/AbstractsPerfume.html Go through them point by point.

Edited to add, if she says she doesn't wear perfume, say, "It must be your deodorant/shampoo/bathsoap/clothing detergent/toothpaste/makeup/etc." There's no way she'd say she doesn't wear deodorant.
