I've never understood why the English aren't rioting in the streets over their tax money being used to support that bunch of useless freeloaders known as "The Royal Family". In fact I once read that even if it were to stop today, the Queen would still have one of the highest incomes in the world just from her investments.

I don't have a problem with the Royal Family (per se.) but the scumbag government, wasteing my tax pounds... REALLY annoys me. The politicians vote themselves massive pay increases whilst expecting their bosses (US!!) to be retrained.
They take us to a shite, expensive, useless war, that a massive number of people told them on the streets that they did not support.

We're not very good at revolution in the country but we need to learn from the French.... and fast.

The Royal Family are self sufficient from the money they bring in from tourism alone, and there's still plenty left after that. No issues with them. Not saying that I like or agree with them, but it doesn't cost us anything.

I'm British and proud of it but if the Royal family were disbanded (if that's what you call it) I would no longer consider Britain to be a country worthy of my loyalty. Personally, I think the Queen would do a better job of running the place than the imbeciles that pass for a government.

What do you think would have happened if you or me had gone to a coroner with some utterly unsubstantiated conspiracy theory on a closed case and asked them to re-open their investigations? We'd be politely told to fuck off. But oh, it's Mr Fayed and he's rich so we'd better not hurt his feelings so let's just do what he wants even though he's clearly in need of psychiatric help...

Of course, given how tiny the sums become if you put them up against the Northern Rock bailout it's probably not even worth counting.
