tbrown 26 #7 March 27, 2008 Sgt Brown was on NPR's "The Story" a few nights ago. She sounds like a very focused, matter of fact young woman. And she doesn't consider herself a hero either, she said she was doing what she'd been trained to do and that you tend to think of the team and not yourself when things start happening. Apparently everyone else thought she did better than that. Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity !
warpedskydiver 0 #8 March 27, 2008 She is a fine example of a young professional soldier. A credit to the uniform, and her country. I bet she winds up married to one hell of a man. She has proven her courage, and dedication to her fellow soldiers. Psssst.... Dan....nudge nudge.

warpedskydiver 0 #11 March 28, 2008 Sounds like there would be alot of guys that would not feel comfortable asking a woman like her out. i.e. weasels, cowards, insecure men etc. If you still don't understand I cannot help you. I was not saying that in a derogatory way, but rather that she has proven herself, and others will take note of that.

Here's a link to "The Story" interview mentioned earlier. There's another really good segment on women in the war on the second page. http://thestory.org/archive/?b_start:int=0Owned by Remi #?
