He's an easy target, since he's the ranking member on the Senate Armed Services Committee. Everyone is clamoring and Congress still needs to review the deal.

Dumb, no. Unfair, yes. We should be shopping around for the best price when it comes to big ticket defense contracts.

If a contract has been awarded by the Source Selection Authority then the shopping around has already been done. The lowest bidder does not always win the contract - many times it's KTR that would provide the best value to the government.
