Prince Harry fighting the Taleban

If you feel Wiki is wrong then, by all means, change it. But for now that was the definition that was posted here (by someone other than myself) for purposes of discussion. If you can find another definition by an objective source then post it.

(You have friends?)

Hawk: "Individual who advocates the use of military force to achieve political goals", first used to describe "War Hawks" in the War of 1812.

Dove: "A person who advocates peace, conciliation, or negotiation in preference to confrontation or armed conflict".

Please note that "Dove" does not exclude using force. It's just a matter of preference.

I'm talking about my son again, the one who would argue with a signpost. His understanding of big words isn't very mature because he doesn't have all that much experience in the world. When he asks me what words mean, he needs pretty exact definitions given to him because he's young and not very sophisticated with language yet.

Just thought I'd share.

Nice explanation of the "hawk" here.

Thank you for helping to prove my point. Both of your examples describe Clinton's policy toward Bosnia and Haiti very well.

You are entitled to your OPINION. Mine is different.

Anyway after all the shite about 'merican no-mark politicians - back to the Lad - He's just come home from doing a [repordidly] good job of work and welcomed by his family - good on 'im!! and it's done his standing [PR] no harm what's so ever.

Good on him. I'm just sorry the press couldn't keep their mouths shut, and let him live his life.

Let's add, one who prefers to cowtow to the demands of others, just to avoid a conflict.

Add what you like, you are still wrong.

Prince Harry rejects 'hero' label

Prince Harry has insisted he is not a hero and hailed the "humbling" bravery of his fellow soldiers after flying home early from a tour of Afghanistan.

In a wide-ranging interview, he spoke of the experience as among the happiest of his life and of his desire to return to the front line "very, very soon".

He also suggested a precedent may have been set enabling his brother, Prince William, to see active operations.

Harry on his service:

Good on him. I wish the press would leave him alone to serve his country like he wants to.
When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy.
