From The Sunday Times in South Africa:-

Even wider ban on weapons.

The public has 20 days left to comment on the proposal, published in the Government Gazette of February 1, to review and amend the old Dangerous Weapons Act No 71 of 1968.

Objects deemed to be dangerous include “projectile discharging devices” which use compressed gas, air or a spring. The list includes authentic looking toy guns, bows and arrows, darts, blowpipes, slingshots, catapults, flick knives, daggers, swords, bayonets, assegais, batons, cattle prods and “any article” which could injure or disable a person.
