Family Watch Dog website for tracking sex offenders

Recommended Posts

I thought this was pretty neat.

www.FamilyWatchDog.us

When you visit this site you can enter your address. A map will pop up with YOUR house as a small icon of a house showing a box in YOUR town. There may be red, blue and green dots surrounding your entire neighborhood. When you click on these dots a picture of a criminal will appear with his or her home address and the description of the crime he or she has committed. You can click on his detail, convictions, etc.

The best thing is that you can show your children these pictures and see how close these people live to your home or school.

This site was developed by John Walsh from Americas Most Wanted. This is another tool we can use to help us keep our kids safe.

ugh, that is not cool, just found one that is between 2 schools, and he has 5 different counts against him. grrrr. ..
and there is one not more than 3000 feet from my house. ugh!

I normally say, give them their privacy.. but, now that i have a kid on the way..

I think the point of the website is to be made aware of who is living near you, so you can keep your distance if you recognize them and make sure your kids and wives know who they are. No confrontations needed, but if you recognize one of them and they do something you don't like, well then by all means, report them.
