kallend 2,148 #26 February 6, 2008 Quote Quote Quote "Casting a Vote for Hillary, seems to me the only answer, at least if everything goes to hell, I can blame it on the LIBS." I feel the same way. I am very conservative . I bet you're proud of the things a conservative administration has done during the last 7 years. Record budget deficits, record trade deficit, spying on citizens without a warrant, imprisonment without trial, ruining the nation's image among our traditional allies, gagging government scientists, leading us into a quagmire of a war under false pretenses. IF I were "very conservative" (gag on the thought) I wouldn't advertise it on the internet. What has Bush done that qualifies as "conservative"? Blues, Dave Well, he told us: I am a conservative because I believe in the power of each individual. My philosophy trusts individuals to make the right decisions for their families and communities [instead of] from distant bureaucracies. I am a conservative because I believe government should be limited and efficient. I am a conservative because I believe in a strong national defense [and] I support free markets and free trade. I am a conservative because I believe government closest to the people governs best. Source: “A Charge to Keep”, George W. Bush p.235 . Are you suggestiong he was LYING?... Muenkel 0 #36 February 6, 2008 I have to admit it as I promised. Kallend sent me a pm with a link where he admitted he made a mistake. The mistake was that he clicked on the wrong post when he made a reply. _________________________________________ Chris

Channman 2 #40 February 7, 2008 Quote Quote But as a Conservative, can't tap the button for McCain, but I can tap out while crying UNCLE!! Okay. I still have yet to see any valid explanation of how McCain is so far left as you and other "conservatives" say he is. Ok, hold your commits, but I just heard on FOX NEWs that McCain has a 87.7% voting record where he has been in line with his party. I've researched this on the WEB, yep Washington Post has a site that publishes the voting records of our senitors. 87.7%, as well, so it must be the 12.3% thats got me pissed off. But I'm still working on a proper answer, dame this news.I'm telling ya he's bad, im digging up some dirt on this dude, just not tonight.
Andy9o8 2 #41 February 7, 2008 QuoteBut as a Conservative, can't tap the button for McCain, but I can tap out while crying UNCLE!! You can say that easily, because you're in Texas, and the Repub candidate will almost certainly win Texas and get its electoral votes - so the absence of your vote wouldn't matter. But if you were in a purple state like Florida, Ohio or Pennsylvania, where every vote really, really does make a difference, that tactic would be nuts - the angry non-voters could wind up assuring that the candidate they hate worst gets elected.
