Limbaugh Laments

Recommended Posts

For those out there who are not 'ditto-heads', this might sound amusing. :P

If the Presidential ticket reads "Democrat" vs McCain, poor Rush Limbaugh will have nothing to celebrate. :P

Kinda of makes one laugh...Nobody in his corner this time around...

"He (McCain) is not the choice of conservatives, as opposed to the choice of the Republican establishment.

Give me a fucking break. During the Reagan era the republican establishment was represented by Bush Senior. GWB represents the ascension of the conservative wing to the status of GOP establishment. For Limbaugh to play the underdog card is such shit.

It's true that if McCain is the new face of the Republican party, conservatives won't have anywhere to go. Rush is right, as usual.

Does anyone really think that McCain will beat Romney?

Yes.

Right now he is the most viable of all candidates of both parties.

So they should all be happy, then! Job security through presidential-bashing the next 4 years, no matter WHO wins...

isn't it great we can't get the best person for the job, but rather have someone so ill suited, foisted upon us?

Yep. We've been feeling that brand of pain for the past 7 years.

I truly, deeply hope you're correct, but I don't think so.
Watching the debate last night at the Reagan Library, McCain and Romney going at it like pitbulls over the "timetable/who said-meant what" issue was ridiculous, and McCain was the one driving it. His points were right on, but the presentation and broken record approach turned me off, as I'm sure it did many viewers.

I heard Hannity yesterday afternoon. It was weird, they guy had a total transformation. He wasn't bashing McCain but he said he had come to the realization that maybe McCain's ideas weren't necessarily so bad and that maybe he had been wrong. Given that McCain's moderate voice had garnered so much support that maybe his more extremist views were out of the mainstream. He even actually said that sometimes "Kennedy is right". I just about drove off the road!
He also stated that the main point is to win this fall and that it appears that McCain may be the guy to do it.
So, for the last few years his hard line ideology was not to be compromised, however if hard line means you lose then maybe softening it may be the best plan.
I wanted to call in and make the point that the actual Conservative platform as a whole was raped by the recent administration but they were so power hungry and drunk with control and access to the Treasury that they went temporarily insane. His Hannity sanity moment is just a step towards recovery.

Of course, if his ratings suffer because of it he'll probably change his tune.

He just needs to find some better drugs.. and a new boyfriend.

He really should come out of the closet.. so he can let go of all that self loathing guilt.:S:S

Can you elaborate on the boyfriend comment? I haven't heard that one.

That's just her version of rigorous analysis and insightful commentary. Sad, I know.

He was doing it for about 45 minutes straight and it involved about a dozen callers when I heard it. I'm tellin' ya, either it was the weirdest thing I've ever heard or I was mobilizing something stored in some lipids from "the good old days".

The words "Liberal" and "Conservative" don't mean anything anymore.

At least they don't mean what they were originally supposed to mean.

It looks like the coming election might be between a Giant Douchebag and a Turd Sandwich once again.

Why do you think McCain is ill-suited?

Being the mega-patriot that you are, don't you think it's pretty cool that someone who actually served his country in combat is getting a shot at the presidency?

Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

I don't think Romney will win either. McCain will get the nomination It will be close but McCain will pull it out. Neither McCain of Romney excite me but better that Billary or Mr. Change (bullshit) Obama.
The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
