wrightskyguy 1 #1 January 14, 2008 Well, someone has finally done it, selling carbon offsets at the DZ (See Home page). If any of the rest of you buy the swill spewing from Al Gores mouth, send me $1.00 for every jump you make and I'll see that he gets it. After inventing the internet and discovering global warming, he's far too tired to do his own book keeping. Halfpastniner 0 #2 January 14, 2008 Thank god for offsets...If it wasnt for them i would have to call Al a hypocrite for having a house that uses 20 times the energy as a normal householdBASE 1384
CanuckInUSA 0 #3 January 14, 2008 First off I see a future in SC for this thread. But I also agree that buying/selling carbon offsets is ridiculous. They do little to reduce the damage we humans do to the planet and in most cases the money set aside for some future green project rarely actually makes it there. If people are concerned about their own personal carbon foot print, then they need to do something about it and stop shuffling money from one hand to the next. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
millertimeunc 0 #4 January 14, 2008 I think it's great that Al Gore is out there warning us all about the latest thing we should be afraid of, especially...manbearpig...I'm super super serial... The best things in life are dangerous.

I wasn't starting this to make a political statement or anything, just poking fun at those that live thier lives acoording to the teachings of Al Gore and Rosey Odonnel. Does the DZ have enough runway for Gore to swing by in his Gulfstream to pick up a check? However, when Al. Gore uses offsets they are suddenly the work of the devil. Could we be seeing a double standard?... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
