Skyrad 0 #4 December 29, 2007 Quote Christian residents of Reeves have been complaining since the early 1960s about being given the prefix, 666 - known in the Bible as the "number of the beast". ... Mayor Scott Walker said CenturyTel's decision was "divine intervention". However, he admitted it helped that Louisiana's two senators had also lobbied for the change with the phone company and the state Public Service Commission. "It's been a black eye for our town, a stigma " QuoteAnd these people think Muslims are living in the dark ages Symbols, glyphs and signs are a part of any culture. What is reverence to one may be a symbol of retraction to another. Skinheads revere their symbol of hatred while most abhor it. To some, your own symbol (avatar) may not be the most revered symbol to some; but to you, it's important. Is the symbol of Islam bad? The Star of David? The Cross? Any of these could be considered "dark ages." I think the real question is, "Is the biggest problem in your lives.... worrying about the meaning of 666 to another culture?Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
