Sweet My Dads 1911 Gold Cup is on its way to me!

My dad used to carry a Colt 1911 Gold Cup on his hip when he was a cop. My step dad just sent it to me along with the receiver for my Ruger 10/22.

Can't wait to get to the range with the 1911 and to build my 10/22 into a tack driver.

Yeah, and if you can't store it securely and responsibly, then you don't deserve to own it. I won't tell you what the definition of "securely and responsibly" is, but whatever you do, it's not going to be enough to satisfy me. And if it's stolen, I'm going to hold you personally responsible for whatever crime is committed with it. After all, 300 million guns are stolen every year from so-called law-abiding gun owners?

Interstate transfers of handguns are supposed to go through a licensed gun dealer... It's stupid, but it's the law.

See thats something i'm not sure about. The 1911 isn't being sold its just being given to a different family member.

i will get it registered in my name here though. Just hope they don't ask where i got it.
