SpeedRacer 1 #1 December 13, 2007 "Iran" is not pronounced "Eye-Ran" "Iraq" is not pronounced "eye-rack" In both names, the letter "i" is pronounced like the "i" in "him" and the "a" is pronounced like the "a" in"father" So it's a bit closer to "Eir-Rahn" and "Eir-Rahk" Also, Islam is not pronounced "Izlam". It is pronounced "Isslam" And Muslim is not pronounced "Muzlim" it is pronounced "Musslim". This has been a public service announcement. (So that you don't sound like a dumb redneck when you talk about them. ) Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------

grannyinthesky 0 #11 December 15, 2007 I guess I just think of math as one big fun subject, not something that would be plural. But then we do say mathematics, not mathematic. Maybe, just maybe, you've got something there."safety first... and What the hell..... safety second, Too!!! " ~~jmy POPS #10490
