riddler 0 #1 December 6, 2007 For a company that has stock at around $700 a share, you think they could do a better job with selecting decent advertising partners. I once saw an "Ads by Google" that said they would predict the exact name of someone that has a crush on you. I clicked it, and it asked for my phone number so that it could send a SMS with the name of my supposed devotee. In the fine print, you agree that by entering your phone number, they will charge something like $5 per week to your phone bill to SMS you some nonsense. I can see a lot of people who don't read the fine print falling for that. Today, I see an advert for debt relief for Christians. Are Christians more worthy of debt relief than Muslims? Is it the Jews that are holding them down - again?!? How do you tie financial trouble to a religion, anyway? Maybe all the pornographic spam we get has desensitized us to what quality of advertising means. Or more probably I'm just out of touch with today's trends. I stopped watching television years ago, but a few months ago I was at my Dad's house. His television is always on, and it seemed about half of the advertisements were telling me my sex life isn't as good as other peoples', and my penis isn't long enough Any other interesting Ads by Google that you've seen?Trapped on the surface of a sphere. Zipp0 1 #3 December 6, 2007 Google ads are garbage. They stole $400 from my account (I ran a site they advertised on), closed it, and provided absolutely no valid explanation. I went ballistic for about a month. Actually, I'm still fucking pissed, but it's not worth my time to take further action..... -------------------------- Chuck Norris doesn't do push-ups, he pushes the Earth down.
