Ok, textbook taser use

There is a video of what I believe to be a perfect taser deployment. It occured in 2002 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. I can't find it so far, I'm asking for help in posting it. It's a DUI stop with a guy driving a pick-up truck, he refuses to take the troopers "pussy-assed tests". He gets hit at least 4 times. IMHO it's the benchmark taser use video. If someone could find it (many of you are WAY more net savvy than me) and make it clicky, we could see and discuss the need for tasers.

Edited to add: The Officer was/is a FTO and this is now used as a textbook example of the correct use of a Taser.

Wrong one......arghhhh.......I was going to use this one later. This does go through all steps of the use of force continuum. This one was in Florida (i think).
This is the edited version also, it doesn't include the actual stop, all the violations, and the officers explanation of these things PRIOR to taser use.

I don't have audio, so I can't comment on that part, but based off the dialog alone I can't see anything out of ordinary. Granted, I see what could be construed as an aggressive movement towards the officer when he closes the door on the guys arm, but would you (based on what you see in the video) qualify this as appropriate force escalation?

Any additional thoughts?

34 seconds from the time the officer said one word to her till he tased her, appearently because she didn't hang up her phone and get out of the car within that time. She didn't appear to be attacking or threatining the officer in that time and he still tased her within 34 seconds of walking up to her car ????? 34 seconds folks, don't hesitate or your being shot (with a taser)

I really wonder what the avg citizen thinks of this video. Not someone in law enforcement but the avg joe. Especially considering the deaths being reported lately from tasers.

The guy lunged at the cop. I think the cop had every right to taser this guy. The dude looked threatning.

The lady was an arse but did not warrant being 'shot'. The cop's attitude appeared calm be he acted inappropriately - The only thing that he was in danger of was waste some more of his time.

I mentioned that in my initial post, and suggested that the cause for the guy's quick motion was when the cop got his arm with the door. I also agreed that the officer then was probably right to taze him.

What I didn't agree with was the cop's immediate draw of the tazer. It's like he didn't even give him half a second to respond. Looking at the article, it doesn't look like he had any weapons or drugs on him, so how could the cop have gone so quickly to drawing his weapon?

Based off the information I have, it seems to me like he was trigger happy.

It's a good thing the officer didn't take two steps backwards, he might have dented someone's bumper.
