Well, so much for the "Republicans Report Better Mental Health" thread.:P

Are you saying a Republican is the culprit??

I waiting for someone to blame it on a Clinton "insider";)

From CNN:

"Buildings close to the storefront campaign office on Main Street were evacuated, including local campaign centers for Clinton's Democratic presidential rivals, Sen. Barack Obama and former senator John Edwards.

A friend of the family said that the man thought that there was a government conspiracy and that government officials were "coming after him," the station reported.

Eisenberg made local headlines in March when he held a news conference on the steps of City Hall to complain about a police policy of placing fliers in unlocked cars warning motorists to lock their doors.

"This is nothing more than a gimmick to get around the Constitution and go around in the middle of the night upon unsuspecting citizens in their own yard and search their vehicles," Eisenberg said.

The guy definitely has to be a Liberal. Everything is always a Govt. Conspiracy and they are always whining about someone trying to take away their rights. :D:D:D

Aren't liberals fucked that way, I mean conservatives support the abolition of rights.

I think you are a little mis informed. Conservatives want to keep the right to thier own money.
They want the right to not have to spend it on illegal immigrants

so on and so on

we also like the right to live without being blown up by terrorists.

>Conservatives want to keep the right to thier own money.

How much is that war costing us, again?

>They want the right to not have to spend it on illegal immigrants

So do liberals!

>we also like the right to live without being blown up by terrorists.

How'd conservatives do preventing 9/11, again?

How many US troops have been blown up by terrorists, again?

While democrats may not do better than republicans in terms of fighting terrorists (which, BTW, is not quite the same as liberals vs conservatives) they could hardly do worse.

Lets compare using a graph of how much is freedom worth?

>They want the right to not have to spend it on illegal immigrants

So do liberals!
Not true - Liberals want to give away our money to the illegals. On programs, welfare, and drivers licenses, and schooling. Or maybe it is that they simply can't decide what they stand for.

>we also like the right to live without being blown up by terrorists.

Just as good as the liberals did when they had the person responsible in the meeting room.

How many US troops have been blown up by terrorists, again?
How many US citizens would might be now if action wasn't taken?

While democrats may not do better than republicans in terms of fighting terrorists (which, BTW, is not quite the same as liberals vs conservatives) they could hardly do worse.
Yes they could - saying "Oh please mister terrorist, please don't blow us up!" - does NOT work as well as an incentive to not blow us up like a few rounds placed strategically inside his brain.

>Lets compare . . .

So you DO want to spend other people's money for a cause you think is important. Sounds like a good cause - but let's hope you give up on the "not wanting to spend other people's money" nonsense. In that instance you are just like a democrat.

>Just as good as the liberals did . . .

Exactly. Both parties failed. The more recent failures (and they have been FAR more dramatic) have been GOP. Had a democrat been in office, then it would likely have still happened. But there wasn't.

>How many US citizens would might be now if action wasn't taken?

US troops ARE US citizens. Let's hope you just didn't think when you posted, and don't really think they're "fake citizens" or something.

What we know for sure is that 3000 NY civilians are dead and that 3800 US troops are dead. Under GOP leadership. That's not a record I'd be very proud of if I were you.

Right. Too bad we gave up on the man who pulled off 9/11 to fight the Iraq war, eh? And it's unfortunate our good buddy, warlord Musharraff, gave the Taliban a sanctuary. But hey, maybe if we make nice with them, and give them a nice place to live, they won't hurt us - eh?

What taxes were raised?

I don't disagree with this analogy.

>How many US citizens would might be now if action wasn't taken?

>>US troops ARE US citizens. Let's hope you just didn't think when you posted, and don't really think they're "fake citizens" or something.

Of course they're not.>:( They aren't even second class citizens as some left wing pundits would have you believe. Further: Is it not the left wing (Granted - the EXTREME left wing) that pours concrete on the tracks of returning trains full of soldiers? Is it not the left that protests the soldiers in comparison to the statements and treatment from the right? Come on - you know what I meant.

>>What we know for sure is that 3000 NY civilians are dead and that 3800 US troops are dead. Under GOP leadership. That's not a record I'd be very proud of if I were you.

And I believe the world is a better place for it. I tried to re-enlist when we were in our third year of all this, but was denied for health reasons - I would gladly change [places with any one of those soldiers.

Not Given Up On . . . where are you getting your information? Who said that the manhunt was called off?

>>And it's unfortunate our good buddy, warlord Musharraff, gave the Taliban a sanctuary. But hey, maybe if we make nice with them, and give them a nice place to live, they won't hurt us - eh?
The jury is still out on that - I don't agree with all the decisions made - this wasn't our finest hour - but it may yet prove to be useful.

>What taxes were raised?

You will pay back the money you spend. Spend more and you will pay more. Want to pay less taxes in the long run? Cut spending. No matter what party you are in.

Both parties want to spend your money. Both have their own justifications.

> They aren't even second class citizens as some left wing pundits would
> have you believe.

Yep. The extremists on both the left and the right side are disgusted by US troops who disagree with their politics. That's nothing new.

>Not Given Up On . . . where are you getting your information?

Nov 19 2001 - Bin Laden vows final stand at Tora Bora
Nov 21 - Rumsfeld tells US military to prepare for Iraq invasion

Reaction From Franks' assistant:

"You got to be shitting me. We're only kind of busy on some other things right now. Are you sure?"

Later, to Franks: "Hey, boss . . . we'd better get on it."

Franks: "Goddamn, what the fuck are they talking about?"

They had a week to do it. So they dropped everything and got on it.

(Quotes from Woodward's Plan of Attack)

Nov 28-30 - Osama escapes Tora Bora

Dec 4 - Franks finishes report; gives it to Rumsfeld

Dec 5 - Afghans begin assault on Tora Bora

Too bad Franks wasn't able to spend his time on the "other things" eh? There's little doubt that Iraq has distracted us from Afghanistan.
