Skyrad 0 #8 November 14, 2007 I think he may really be acting in the best interests of his country. If a Islamist party gets into power I think he knows that there is a high chance of the US nuking Pakistan. The lawyers in Pakistan don't seem to have realised that. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. The lawyers seem a bit more clued on this matter than you, then. The only situation in which the US will nuke Pakistan would start with a similar attack on US soil. Some incredibly aggressive diplomacy, maybe sanctions.. I don't know. What we wouldn't see is mushroom clouds over Islamabad and Karachi.Do you want to have an ideagasm? kelpdiver 2 #17 November 15, 2007 QuoteSo you belive that if a Islamist party come to power in Pakistan who have nuclear weapons then the US will sit by and look the other way? did I miss the US nuking North Korea? You need to understand that nukes are defensive weapons for nations, and some argue for any possessors. The price for using one is uncontrolled escalation and that's incompatible with people's desire to stay alive.
