NCclimber 0 #3 October 26, 2007 QuoteThat's pretty messed up. But not surprising. Many of the societal norms/constructs of past generations are rapidly disappearing. Simple things like courtesy, decency, morality, honesty. We've become a much more crass, selfish, uncivil society. But it's all good, as long as I got mine!!! And the GPS with graphical weather overlay in my plane. They are nice changes. Oh, and I like high speed internet, and wingsuits, and cars that don't rust out in 7 years, and radial tires, and digital photography. Calculators are an improvement over slide rules, too. And then there's power tools - I like them (didn't have them when I was a kid). And lithium batteries, they're a good innovation. And we have this REALLY NEAT rapid prototyping machine in our department now, wow, is that ever cool! ...... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. vortexring 0 #13 October 27, 2007 Don't know it - although the Dalton might be worth a look. At the very least it'll boggle yar big slaphead with all it's functions. Besides, what boggles my melon is how a thread can completely change direction. Perhaps I've lost my alternators, the gyro's have toppled, and I'm not referring to my E2C, as well as being IMC...er, gee. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" Richards 0 #19 October 28, 2007 Quote Many of the societal norms/constructs of past generations are rapidly disappearing. Simple things like courtesy, decency, morality, honesty. Sad but true. What I find equally frustrating is that many accept this as an inevitable byproduct of progress . My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
