akarunway 1 #1 October 17, 2007 I'll say it again. This is the scary one. I hope the NRA is fighting tooth and nail. http://forums.phoenixlabs.org/showthread.php?t=14407I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. AWL71 0 #3 October 17, 2007 That is scary indeed. If that bill was passed and put to use by an anti-gun administration it would not be good for law abiding gun owners. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help. NCclimber 0 #4 October 17, 2007 Considering this is a recommendation by Alberto Gonzales, I doubt it's going anywhere. Looks like it got introduced back in April, with nothing happening since. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s110-1237
kallend 2,150 #5 October 17, 2007 Are you saying you WANT terrorists to have guns and explosives? SHAME ON YOU!Funny that the far right was so in favor of unConstitutional spying on citizens without a warrant and a multitude of other Constitutional abuses in the name of fighting terrorism, but suddenly gets religion over the need to defend the Constitution when guns get involved. Do I smell a double standard here? ... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
warpedskydiver 0 #6 October 17, 2007 John go teach physics will ya? You are far better at doing that than helping to preserve our Constitutional rights. Besides this plan is stupid, terrorists do not need to legally purchase a firearm by filling out a form 4473.

SkyDekker 1,465 #9 October 17, 2007 Why is it scary? Just like with the warrentless wiretapping issue, if you have nothing to hide, if you don't do anything wrong, it doesn't pertain to you. Or is this just a constitutional right you are more concerned about?

When I lived in England I used to do that with rabbits but the PC government stopped me, So I went out an bought a gun, shot the rabbits then threw them into the vat of molasses. The PC government then couldn't careless. Gone fishing

You can take a metal spike and pin them (through a rear leg tendon or something) to the ground. Then use the catapult to launch molasses balloons at them. It's fun to watch then try to run in a small circle and then tire out as the molasses slows them down. Careful to not let them choke on the broken balloons too soon though or you'll go through kittens too fast. ...
