akarunway 1 #1 October 14, 2007 So. If this story is credible why does the U.S. give them so much money? Can't they fend for themselves? Or just greedy American jews and saying fuck their homeland I'm keeping it in my pocket. Let the US taxpayer defend their country? http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1191257286817&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFullI hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. DSE 5 #2 October 14, 2007 A-Very few of the American Jewish are from Israel. The most influential people were born before Israel was even established as a state in the late 40's. Therefore, it isn't "their homeland." Do you see American Catholics calling Rome their "homeland?" B-The wealth discussed in the article has little to do with Israel. Israel may be the homeland of Judaism, but that's about where it ends. The article is showing pride in their culture. C-An understanding of Middle East politics, economics, and resources might help answer your question better.

tkhayes 348 #4 October 14, 2007 Why do we support Israel? Fundamentalist Christians invading politics at every level. - Billy Graham since the 50's for example. No Israel and no homeland for the Jews, then no second coming of Christ. Of course Armageddon must happen as well, and the funny thing is that all the Jews must first convert to Christianity or die in the 'end' for all this to happen. Fucked up, but the more I read and the older I get, the more I believe it to be true.
tkhayes 348 #5 October 14, 2007 Oh yeah, am I am not against Jews or anyone else in particular - I despise most religions at their face value equally. TK
johndh1 0 #6 October 14, 2007 There is definitely a difference between U.S. Jews and Israeli Jews. It's odd to me that the US Jews tend to support the Democratic causes, while the "Evangelical" Republicans feel the need to keep Israel intact. At the same time, we have to realize the difference between being "a Jew," and being "Jewish." I, for one, believe we must back Israel, by the way.Roll Tide Roll
CanuckInUSA 0 #7 October 14, 2007 Quote Of course Armageddon must happen as well John Hege (sp?) is one of the most dangerous people in this world. He is rallying his supporters to ensure armageddon happens within the next 20 years. And red necks like that idiot Glenn Beck are all too proud to help him achieve this goal by giving him air time on TV to rally the christian right wingers of America. Sure Islam has it's radicals. But one does not need to look very far to see America has no shortage of their own radicals. American wake up. You are letting your own radical religious beliefs push all life on earth towards distinction all because of a fictional book writen by humans before mankind knew very much about physics, science and astronomy. If we are the only ones in this universe (as christians tell us), what a complete waste of space. But I forgot the world and the universe that revolves around this world of ours was created 6000 years ago in a period of 7 days. Evangelical christians are just as dangerous as the radical elements of Islam. But it's the Jews and their money? I think not. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
johndh1 0 #8 October 14, 2007 John Hagee. I have mixed opinions on him. One day I like him, the next day I am appalled - like Ann Coulter, for example. I do, however, agree with your admonishing the "making of Armageddon" like it's a plan with all these human-manageable elements. Certainly my God is above that, and will not be second-guessed or interfered by even by the most pious, self-serving proselyte.Roll Tide Roll
