So. If this story is credible why does the U.S. give them so much money? Can't they fend for themselves? Or just greedy American jews and saying fuck their homeland I'm keeping it in my pocket. A-Very few of the American Jewish are from Israel. The most influential people were born before Israel was even established as a state in the late 40's. Therefore, it isn't "their homeland." Do you see American Catholics calling Rome their "homeland?"

B-The wealth discussed in the article has little to do with Israel. Israel may be the homeland of Judaism, but that's about where it ends. The article is showing pride in their culture.

C-An understanding of Middle East politics, economics, and resources might help answer your question better.

Why do we support Israel? Fundamentalist Christians invading politics at every level. - Billy Graham since the 50's for example.

No Israel and no homeland for the Jews, then no second coming of Christ. Of course Armageddon must happen as well, and the funny thing is that all the Jews must first convert to Christianity or die in the 'end' for all this to happen.

Fucked up, but the more I read and the older I get, the more I believe it to be true.

There is definitely a difference between U.S. Jews and Israeli Jews. It's odd to me that the US Jews tend to support the Democratic causes, while the "Evangelical" Republicans feel the need to keep Israel intact.

At the same time, we have to realize the difference between being "a Jew," and being "Jewish."

I, for one, believe we must back Israel, by the way.

John Hagee. I have mixed opinions on him. One day I like him, the next day I am appalled - like Ann Coulter, for example.

I do, however, agree with your admonishing the "making of Armageddon" like it's a plan with all these human-manageable elements.

Certainly my God is above that, and will not be second-guessed or interfered by even by the most pious, self-serving proselyte.
