Why have all of the oh so vocal Neo Cons not served the country

Recommended Posts

So.. you support this fuckup of a president and his greedy chickenhawks in the Administration... so why are you not taking up the call to arms.... WE ARE AT (your) WAR...

Your country is calling...

And dont give me the you are to old crap.. there is a National Guard Reservist in his Late 50's from Washington who signed up and is serving right now in the sandbox.

I voted for him, am here in the Middle East and headed up into Iraq again next week. Most of the folks over here voted for him as well.

Then again I haven't been very vocal lately...and don't classify myself as a neo-con...rather a hypocritical libertarian. Thoroughly unimpressed with the field of candidates in both parties running in '08. I'll be 35 by then...perhaps I should do a write-in campaign.

Madame Clinton voted to go to war based upon the best available intelligence available to her at the time. Do you think her daughter should be in service? There are plenty of women over here, after all...

There are plenty of folks from both parties not serving for their own individual reasons. I tend to like the all-volunteer force concept myself and respect their choice not to serve.

I think the addage goes....Fool me once... shame on you....fool me twice.. shame on me....

There certainly seems to be a whole lot of shame on those who voted republican the last couple times.

Why are there so many "libertarians" on this website that have never voted for a libertarian candidate...
Perhaps they are either lying.. or they dig this bullshit they got us into.

Guess it's just anybody that disagrees with you is just plain wrong, is it hard to live with that kind of power? And, yes at 38 I played in the sand, I would again in a minute if called upon at 42.

And no, I'm not a neo-con.

So.. did you get rich on the oil profits like your lords and masters in the administration that sent you over there under false pretenses did?

No.. I didnt think so.. BUT I bet you got a few little pieces of ribbon to reward you for your efforts.

Had to deal with the VA yet??

I bet the NEO-Cons in the administration are not losing any sleep over the thousands of thier countrymen who have died for their policies.

Hmmm...what makes you think I would vote for a left-winger whom I think would do a worse job than the other viable choice?

It's not that libertarians who repeatedly vote Republican in national elections aren't voting against their principles...they're voting for the lesser of two evils. The Democrats put up candidates so unpalatable that they leave libertarians little choice BUT to vote against the Democratic candidate by voting FOR the republican one rather than their own libertarian candidate.

Voting for Bush doesn't necessarily equate to approval of all of his policies. It could also equate to utter disdain for the policies of his opponent. That earns Republican candidates more votes than you know...

Wow,
Good answer. Rant, rant, rant..........................
Take off your foil hat and breath deeply......

Earlier in the post you said to "walk the walk" and those that have you insult, or should I say try to insult. That speaks for itself.
Peace out!

P.S. Most dealings I've had with the VA have been very positive. It's like any other bureaucracy frustrating but a means to an end.

I'm not ashamed of voting Republican or Democrat or Libertarian (yes, I've voted for them) any time I've voted and feel I've made the correct choice every time.

Interesting to note...the only two right wingers who are answering.. are those who have served..yet neither of you will embrace the name NEO-CON..

You do know the history of all those in the administration you voted for right????

They are doing quite well and will do VERY well in the hear future as they go to work for the companiesthat are raping the american taxpayer with the cost plus contracts... how are you doing.

That was the point I was making.. but you missed that.

and my rant to you was not a personal attack as
YOU made with the tin foil comment

Come on use that brain put a few neurons together and look at the reality.

I don't just look at reality, I live there.

The foil hat thing was tounge -n- cheek, but it worked to stop the ranting and you stated some facts. I took your point, I just don't agree with it.

My protons, neurons or any other 'rons are none of your business.......:S;)

Why do they have to accept your label of them as a Neo-Con?

Why do those of us who have voted R and Served have to be labeled as a Neo-Con?

I bet they only meet a small part of the definition for Neo-Con.

I think of myself as a Conservative Liberal (or Liberal Conservative ?) which is where most of the country is, I think. But with our screwed up political system we have no choice but to go with one of the two evil super powers, Dem's or Repub's.

Now I took your poll as not actually aimed at Us here on the DZ.com sight but those in office who wouldn't actually peruse here. So I figured it would just serve for comical levity, since the politicians are to busy fore going a defense budget to have fun on the lobbyist sponsored cruises and flights and parties and pretending to run for office of a higher stature but really just padding a checking account and work a book/movie deal etc etc etc.

Can we start the whole system over again, can we hit ctrl-alt-delete and try again?

Yep I made a run on so don't correct me, it was t ohelp in my point, at least I think I had one.

I am just waiting for some of the others to show up ....we all know who they are... but I doubt they would ever tell the truth about why they run off at the mouth about war.. yet do not put their name on that dotted line.... and go themselves.

One of them did tell the truth in a PM once... and Its a direct quote..

I saved that because it speaks volumes about several of our more vocal far right wingers here.

I do not expect them (Skycop and Vinny) to accept the label.. because they do not fit the profile of a NEO-CON....ALMOST ev ery last self avowed Neo Con.. has never served and would never serve... that is below them.

and YES there are several of them who post here on Dizzy Dot Com.

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever directly admitted to being one of these "neo-cons" on these boards in the same way I would say "I'm a libertarian"?

That would be true of those on the left too, yes?
Using your line of thinking.

I think neither party has the best candidate for the next run and to focus on the past only instead of a fix for the future is a step backwards. It would be nice to see a split party ticket and we can get some balance in the WH and then maybe we can see a little common sense prevail. We have not had it in near 16 years. All we have had is party agendas and we have not been the better for it.

So when the enemy comes knocking on the door, and you're cowering in the corner because you don't believe in war and never enlisted, somehow gives that person validity?
