cumplidor 0 #30 November 9, 2007 Can anyone offer an explanation for this page from a NASA site here While it does acknowledge the clouds I see frequently over my head about 2-3x per month, it creates numerous other questions... If this were to have been caused by normal airplane activity, why do they appear so cross-hatch like in pattern? especially in N GA and AL. Is that the normal pattern for flight paths? Also odd to me is the single lines over the ocean where there would seem not that many flights over the ocean in one day, in that one spot? It also creates a bunch of other questions in my mind. If you had a single route an airline was flying all day, you'd see a long row of parallel lines as the winds blew the contrails.
