Yes another taser story

I think that if someone wants to kill themselves that there should be no law against it;

If the person is of sound mind and wants to die then yes it is their choice. Someone who is mentally unstable might not be able to make an informed choice and needs to be restrained.
My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.

I agree. And had they just plain left at that point, said "hey, do whatever you want, buddy" fine.

However, they didn't do that.

At that point they should have sent Harry Callahan up to talk to the guy. Remember the scene with the jumper in "Dirty Harry".:D

I'd rather hear of neither; I am sure the same holds for you as well.

True, but given the choice, my previous statement stands.

Edited to add: I'd also sooner hear of a dead perp than a severely injured Police Officer.
Illinois needs a CCW Law. NOW.

I doubt that's true in all cases. If a friend of yours was being beaten to death by a dirty cop, I would bet you'd hope your friend had a knife, rather than cheering the cop on.

See that is the difference between you and me, I would give my friend some help;)

I do not care whether someone has a badge or not, if they are acting with criminal intent, it is the same.

I get a bigger kick out of hearing the opposite.
