Christian abusers force underage women to marry

Recommended Posts

Back in the pioneer days people often married young women. Fourteen or sixteen may be sick by todays standards, but was common way back when.

I'm not saying this was right though. A 50 year old marrying a 14 year old should have been looked upon as sick even then. It's hard to believe that Mormans can worship people like that. I've heard many say that they believe that Joseph Smith was the true profit. I don't know how they figure that. Wouldn't he be able to do some magic stuff if that was the case??

A buddy of mine was ex-communicated by the LDS church when he was still in High School. Maybe this shows the kind of people I hung out with back then...Steve1

More than 2.5% of Muslims are terrorists and another 5% stone little girls to death in public in front of cell phone cameras. And oh, btw...a great deal of musli clerics from Saudi Arabia travel to Bharain to bang 14 yo Philipino girls. But, oh, wait...they're not white or American.

Just pulled that out of my ass (execpt the Bharainian part - seen it), but I bet it's as accurate as your attack on a religion simply because it consists primarily of whites and Americans - which exempts them from political correctness.

What a bunch of bullshit.

Hey HH - how about you designate just ONE mod with a conservative and pro-American, or even pro-occidental point of view.

And incase anyone forgets...read upthread.

~I doubt you'll find many more pro-American than I (Not to mention that I lean to the right on *most* issues)

~The majority of the LDS faith is neither white, nor American.

~Where in the thread does anyone discuss white Americans?

~we're not in Saudi, so I'm not clear how their underculture and Bahrain play into *this* discussion.
This is America, and I'd submit that _generally speaking_, Americans and Europeans (Occidentals) agree that 14 year old girls being raped by or forceably married to 46 year old men in the name of religion is wrong.
Tune in to local television, you can watch the trial. It's sickening to hear the 'reasoning' and to hear the victim's words (she isn't on camera) but her words are).

That's not the point - You're attacking an entire religion over the acts of a single man...and applying a sample to a population. That doen't stand up to the scientific method even. Study some cultural aspects of the communities in deep Mexico.

PM me sometime and I'll recount a story of a serial child rapist in TX I put away. Upon further investigation, we found a pervasive pattern in the extended family. Why don't you hammer ALL Catholics? (he was a Mexican national)

Similar behavior, but you would call it cultural...and since it's cultural - you would give them a pass.

Since this is espoused religiosity - you attack.

You wouldn't be doing that if a single Muslim were to do the same thing...which I assure you, happens a lot more than in singularity.

Even in United States - yet you fail to have the stones to scrutinize them, because THAT would make you a racist.

Ergo....attack a religion that is predominately white (In the US).

Keeps you out of trouble for slinging shit. I'm throwing the pussy flag.

O dear, I suppose I'm not being clear.
The *entire* FLDS church is involved in this practice of marrying young women to (usually) significantly older men. It's not just Warren Jeffs. He's merely their elected/appointed/anointed prophet after his father, who did exactly the same things. The *entire* FLDS religion (and its variants) run off young men if they aren't 100% on board with the religion by age 16. Ergo, the "Lost Boys." Google it, read the SL Trib or Deseret News.
The discussion of the LDS faith came in when someone commented that the LDS faith is completely different than the FLDS faith, and outside this one issue they are identical.

As an update, Warren Jeffs was convicted a short while ago of two counts of rape by accessory. The jury felt he placed the young girls into a position of subjugation to the men they were forced into marrying, which culminated in the rape/force sexual relations with their husbands.
Jeffs is expected to face similar charges in Arizona, Idaho, and Colorado, and still faces tax evasion and fraud charges in Utah and Arizona.

Maybe that's why it's called NEWS and not OLDS.
