And some of the OTHER less kind things by the righties here... His COHORTS...have used.

Search on STEEL and DYKE..:o of course I EXPECT that from the right wing for ANY woman who would dare to argue with them.:S

You do realize that, by and large, the negative posts that come your way are simply return volleys. Playing the innocent victim just doesn't cut it. :P

On a different note, I found this on the net a while back.

Is that about you? Warm soul? Inviting nature? Love of all people?

Internet Stalking again.. COOL.....:S

Perhaps you should ask the MANY people from this website that I have met....jumped with....helped... you get the picture.

I do try to treat other people as I would wish to be treated... until someone proves otherwise. Then I tend to treat others as they have treated me.... I give people the benefit of the doubt.. until they prove to me what thorough peices of human flotsam they are and I learned well in my youth just how much of that there is around.

Proof of what? That the dems aren't buying a report written by the whitehouse and then performed by some general who the report is named after even though he didn't write it? Who blames 'em, remember Mr Powell in front of the UN...."WMD's are in Iraq". That was the exact same thing......and we still haven't found those WMD's.

If they are so confident in their positions why dont they wait until the report is presented to congress?

Answer, THEY CANT AFFORD ANYTHING POSITIVE BECAUSE THEY HAVE LAID THEIR POLITICAL FUTURE ON DEFEAT AND LEAVING IRAQ.

Now add to this the news reports today where the Dems are now change thier stratagy about leaving Iraq.

It's only defeat in your eyes (and those of your ilk). The US did what it set out to do - rid Iraq of WMDs (:P), depose Saddam, and install a puppet government. Mission Accomplished.

Bush should have quit while he was ahead instead of digging himself a huge hole in a quagmire.

Yeah, unfortunately with us being there on false-pretenses to begin with it's kind of hard to trust the guys who put us there, which happen to be the same people writing the report. I think the dems are smart enough to know that part of the population is gullible enough to buy a trumped up report and want to counteract it right away.

I don't think it's as easy as just leaving and the dems are starting to realize that. The police that we're training are moon-lighting as insurgents and there's public officials getting knocked off on a monthly basis. Just leaving is gonna leave the country in shambles and let terrorist groups take over.

Puppet government?

Oh, that's right, I forgot... all those troops behind the scenes telling the Iraqis how to vote at gunpoint - thanks for reminding me!

How many public votes have been held in Iraq?

I believe somebody was just recently quoted as saying we should hold off on elections in Iraq for awhile........anybody know who it was?

Remind me - who ran the election, who designed the process, who wrote the rules, whose troops guarded the polling stations?

If you went to the polls in Texas and found armed North Korean troops guarding the polling place, would you consider it free and fair?

As I recall, YOU didn't have problems with the concept of UN observers to OUR elections...but evidently DO if it's in Iraq.

I think that could be considered part of the "hate America first support anything that makes the other side look bad" syndrome...something your other posts tend to support whenever the USA does something the UN doesn't like.

The UN didn't create the process and rules for the Iraqi elections or have troops providing "extra security" at the polling places - the US did.

Poland, Czechoslaviakia, Hungary etc, all elected their leaders too while under foreign occupation. And those elected leaders always supported the Soviet occupation (Because those that didn't, like Dubcek) didn't last very long).

Sorry, but we ARE an occupying power, and as a result it cannot be said that Iraq is free and has self determination, no matter how benign our intentions may be (and I don't think they are benign at all).

Unfortunately those are the way things are and have been for half a decade. Maybe it's time to ditch that horse mid-stream or change the course and try something different that might work. Repeating the same action and expecting a different outcome is pretty f'ing stupid.

If you want an accurate report of how things are going over there, then have the middle-ranked officers that are actually on the ground leading our troops write it. Having the white house write that report is like you grading your own final in college, you're definitely gonna get an A+ in that class. There's a reason why the British Troops just started pulling out of Iraq and it's not because things are going good. I don't think we're getting the whole story here...........you can try to polish a terd, but in the end your hands are still covered in shit.

In fact there was just a report "authored by a 20-member panel comprised mostly of retired senior military and police officers".........http://www.charter.net/news/read.php?id=13984153&ps=1018&_LT=HOME_LARSDCCL3_UNEWS...........they said things like "We need to start transitioning to an Iraqi lead," no matter the timeframe, said retired Army Gen. George Joulwan, a panel member and former NATO commander in Europe.

Hmm, I read this later but if your conclusions are correct, they support what Bush is saying and doing.

Not quite...............I don't think sending more troops over is transitioning towards Iraqui leadership. As a matter of fact, it's the exact opposite....the report stated that we need to cut down on our military force in Iraq because Iraquis are taking our increase in troops as a sign of a permanent occupation of the country.

They also said avoided the timeline though........but then again things like this don't help http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/09/04/america/bremer.php, as now we need to spend time and billions to rebuild it.
