BTW do not ever block the road, especially in an attempt to stop a US ARMY troop deployment.
Scoop 0 #2 August 10, 2007 I had to search for it as your link wouldn't work for me. But I'm guessing it was this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfhUaUuG1sM and this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1_lmvhkv3c You see one paticular individual in a grey top refusing to move and resisting when pushed. Then takes a few rubber bullets. Looks like a very effective method of dispersing a crowd to me! I'm all for peaceful protest, but don't obstruct the highway or people going about their business when you do it. What I find even funnier is they try getting water to wash off CS gas. Haha, BIG MISTAKE!
diablopilot 2 #3 August 10, 2007 I find it interesting how supporters of "Peace" can suddenly become so aggresive, violent, and posture. Also interesting how fast they abandon their own "fallen".---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. Fast 0 #4 August 10, 2007 Imagine how much more insane the protesting of the past would have appeared if there was widespread use of digital video cameras. I have no idea about this specific instance, but the appearance of police use of "force" has gotten pretty out of hand. These types of videos keep showing up. I wonder if that has more to do with more cameras or if things are just more violent now. It doesn't seem like there is much toleration of protesting.~D Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me. Its rather like the Taser - sold as a non lethal tool to give cops - but kills too many people.

livendive 8 #7 August 10, 2007 QuoteI find it interesting how supporters of "Peace" can suddenly become so aggresive, violent, and posture. I saw a bunch of non-violent protesters singing. The cops were the ones who brought violence and aggression to the table in the video I watched. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" warpedskydiver 0 #11 August 10, 2007 They would have loosed the hounds on the protesters, but the ASPCA has effected a ban on GSD's having to bite smelly hippy protesters. Blues, Dave If you protest for peace but become violent when confronted with violence, you are protesting in vain. "I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent." Mahatma Gandhi It is like the people protesting poor economic conditions that begin to loot and vandalize local business causing worse economic conditions ... "That looks dangerous." In a case like this you have only seen a tiny segment of the entire event and none of the factors leading up to the police use of force. Without the full video it is a bit premature to jump on the cops for that one My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
