Christians in Afghan/Iraq

Recommended Posts

Over the years a few of these goody goody Christians have went marching into other countries (lets say arab countries) with bible in hand weilded like a sword to do good and spread the word of God while helping these poor people...

Imagine their shock when they find some people dont actually want help and would rather kidnap them and kill them.

Well blow me down there's a scenario that never crossed my mind! [/sarcasm]

I find it hard to find sympothy for these people.

I'm sensing a shift to Speaker's Corner shortly

I believe your senses are correct, there is a great disturbance in the force.

Meanwhile, I believe this is also a ploy to show that Copland is too afraid to venture into SC by himself... :):P
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!

It is disturbing the messge that these people convey,
for example I gave a missionary guy a lift in Tanzania and when we stopped the van for a minute he decided it would be a good idea to throw the water bottles I had on the floor onto the sidewalk, I TOLD hoim to pick them up and return them to the van so I could dispose of them properly, he looked at me with a frown and asked me why!!!!!!>:(

Need I say more?

These morons need to learn what respect is.

I find it hard to imagine that you think murder is a just outcome for people with whom you disagree about religion.

If arabs don't want to hear the christian message, I think a simple "no" should suffice. That's what I say when missionaries come to my doorstep.

If arabs don't want to hear the christian message,....

Dont you mean if EXTREMISTS dont want to hear the Christian message?

Saying "Arabs" is like saying all Americans shoot up schools or want to bomb civilians..
To know requires proof
To believe requires evidence
To have faith requires neither.
If you stick with that, we'll never be confused again

What do Arabs have to do with this situation in Afghanistan?

I replied using the terminology ("arab countries") utilized by the original messenger. I understood him to mean by that; muslim nations.

He did not single out or specifically mention Afghanistan. I believe he was speaking in general terms of muslim nations and their reaction to christian missionaries.

If you want to nit-pick his use of that term, take it up with him, not me. It's not the point of this thread. More info.
