Zipp0 1 #177 July 6, 2007 Quote approval numbers for the Democratically controlled Congress remain at historic lows. I'm not really a lefty (believe it or not), but this is perplexing. I wonder - where are historical numbers for congressional approval published? I keep hearing 'historic low', but where is the history? Assuming this is true, what would increase approval? Ending the war? Free beer for all citizens? -------------------------- Chuck Norris doesn't do push-ups, he pushes the Earth down.

Here are some recent numbers. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/polls/archive/?poll_id=18#data As far as raising job approval - how about actually getting something done. Seems like it's all about infighting. The voters said they want new leadership in Congress. The Dems have yet to demonstrate much leadership. The latter gets a lower value because anyone that hates 10 Members (say any lefty OR righty nut) will give it a poor rating, but half the members of the sitting President will continue to blair out how great he is even if he's eating orphan children.
