Hmm. I was a liberal in college. Got mugged in Times Square one New Year's Eve. Still a liberal.

That was only one half of an old joke, The other half was:

Neo-liberal: A conservative who just got arrested.

Okay. I'm sorry Amazon woman...
Not you, Bill... Amazon.

Thank you Pajarito.

We have far more in common than you might imagine.

I'm sure we do. I just like to argue. I'm sure I'd like you in person regardless of political affiliation. :)

I voted for Nixon.. I voted for Reagan... I have voted for other Republicans in the past based on who I felt was the better candidate for the job.

Hell I have even voted for Libertarian and independent candidates based on their merits.

I have voted for far more Democrats because they have been the better person that more closely aligned to what I believe to be good government.

That being said.. I have not been able to vote for the latest crop of rePUBICans... for a while now. They are religious hypocrites who use religion to BLUDGEON people into being like they are or ELSE.. they pander to the naive religious right who just WANT SO HARD to believe that they are righteous.

Judge not lest ye be judged said the Lord... and the right wing psuedo-religious right is doing it in spades.

Religious hypocrites suck.

I consider myself part of the "religious right", however, I don't think I'm naive. ...I could be wrong. ;)

By the way, "There is none righteous, no, not one;" Romans 3:10

Now... "Imputed righteousness" which comes through repentance and trust in the Savior (alone) for salvation (appropriating the debt payment for our sin which was done 2000 years ago by Jesus Christ on the cross) is something else altogether. One is then righteous but not because of anything they have done. Only by the grace of God are they saved.

Not all on the right are insincere. I agree that "hypocritical judgment" of others is wrong.
