ZigZagMarquis 9 #1 June 26, 2007 Quote This is really sad, guys. Sparky is an oldtime jumper who has been in the sport a long time and has the respect and admiration of a lot of people who have jumped with him, myself included. I disagree with him on this issue, but that's nothing new; I disagree with a lot of people. The attacks people are making on him are totally out of line. This isn't some politician that people are bashing in Speaker's Corner... Here's to Sparky! Here at Last! Here's to Sparky... He's a Horse's ASS! HIM! HIM!! FUCK HIM!!!! quade 4 #3 June 26, 2007 QuoteBye bye for a while... The "him, him" chant is usually reserved for a person you're trying to honor. At least is is where I come from . . . Sparky too . . . 'cause like, it's the same place. I don't think it's a PA.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
masterrig 1 #4 June 26, 2007 Sparky, is a damned good guy... as we all know. He is entitled to his opinion as we all are and is entitled to express his opinion. Sparky? Hell YEAH! Chuck

wmw999 2,587 #6 June 26, 2007 I'll raise a to that Wendy W. There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

D22369 0 #9 June 27, 2007 Sparky has class, he caught me in a mistake I had made and rather than beat upon me (like most peeps woulda done) he pointed out what I had done and why it was wrong - in a private message. RoyThey say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
masterblaster72 0 #10 June 27, 2007 This is bonfire-esque fluff; why is it in Speaker's Corner? edited to add: @billvon QuoteThis is really sad, guys. This isn't some politician that people are bashing in Speaker's Corner... Sorry, but if someone makes ridiculous comments about the sport (perhaps the poster was in a rotten mood at the moment, I'm sure he usually has more class than that), that person will get called on it, and rightfully so -- no matter whose respect that person might have on this site. The sky is not falling, and I know of no loud obnoxious types that are destroying the sport. edited again to add: @billvon QuoteThere is absolutely no problem saying you think someone is wrong. There is a problem when you start to resort to phrases like "senile old man." I guess I missed that part...I see where you're coming from then. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

popsjumper 2 #13 June 27, 2007 Quote... Sorry, but if someone makes ridiculous comments about the sport... Sorry, I missed the part where Sparky said anything ridiculous about the sport. If you meant "about the changing attitudes within the sport" I would have disagreed with you vehemently. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. steve1 5 #14 June 29, 2007 Sparky has probably forgot more about skydiving than I'll ever know. He's also one of the good guys that I look up to on these forums. So, I hope some critical remarks don't rum him off. And hell yes, I'll drink to Sparky too....Steve1
