I thought the objections were much deeper. Well, from my point of view it's very different than that. I, personally, do not highly value life that has no consciousness. Conception isn't a miracle. It's a fertilization of an egg by a sperm. People always say things like, "I'm glad my mother chose not to abort me." Well....maybe. But I can also say, I'm glad my mom and dad chose to screw when they did. Otherwise there wouldn't be me. But it's unfortunate for the poor would-be soul whose parents didn't choose to mess around on a day that could've fertilized the egg that would have become him. Life, before it's a meaningful life, just isn't important at all, imho. A woman's life, her body, her choices ARE important. So it's a no-brainer as far as I can see. She has a right to choose. Now, when that child becomes viable, even though she continues to sustain it in her body, then the answer isn't so clear anymore.
