Of course that's my purpose. That's what this forum is all about - bashing America. And as my post shows, every war we've ever been involved in, has been started based upon lies and false pretenses. America is evil, pure and simple. The world would be better off without us, and our militaristic adventures. America lies, and people die. We should let the Muslim religion of peace take over the world, and then the world would finally have peace, free from the evil, violent influence of America. Damn the Americans! You have merely shown that some of the wars we've been involved in have been started under false pretenses. >That's what this forum is all about - bashing America. When criticism of failed policies is seen as bashing instead of democracy in action, then democracy begins to fail. People are human; the founding fathers recognized that. That's why there are checks and balances, and why we have the ability to vote out politicians/parties that fail. Needless to say, sometimes the new party fails as well. No system is perfect. >Damn the Americans! Whatever.

What are you, just another one of those right-wing militaristic whackos, that thinks that America actually does some good by intervening in the personal affairs of other nations around the world? And all this time I thought you were a devoted hard-core liberal. You're disappointing me, defending America like that. Next thing you know you'll be telling me how great America was to help out in some distant war, even though it resulted in the brutal deaths of tens of thousands of soldiers and innocent civilians. And all for what, some quaint archaic concept of "freedom". Hrumph!
tbrown 26 #79 June 12, 2007 QuoteAfter what the Germans did during WW11, the conquering allied forces should have wiped Germany off the face of the earth There was some serious talk about sterilizing all German adults, male and female. I'm glad that never happened though, as they say, two wrongs don't make a right. It would've been a thoroughly Nazi solution and we'd just fought (and came a lot closer to losing than most historians are willing to admit) to save the world from those kind of solutions. Maybe it's even a good thing that the Russians gobbled up the eastern part of Germany and gave us something new to worry about. Because then we decided to reshape Germany into a real democracy with a prosperous economy - a strategy that's worked really well. What happened to Germany with the nazis can happen anywhere with any people. It could happen here too. All you need is a run of national bad luck, smoldering resentment, and some idiot with a lot of charisma. Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity !
