Anyone around here gonna miss him? I sure won't.

I think we all need to take a look in the dictionary under the word "schadenfreude".

While I find it difficult to come to terms with "celebrating" another person's death, I certainly will never miss his hypocritical bullshit and intolerance.

I'd say that I hope he rots in a hell of his own making, but I don't actually believe in it.

There's at least a few more that needs to drop dead soon: Pat Robertson, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and that asshole from Westboro Baptist Church. The world would be a much better place without them. :|

I think the world would be a better place if no one wanted to see anyone else die.

I am guessing he is facing his GOD and finding out if he was right or he was wrong in HIS interpretation of what Christ REALLLY taught.

Either that or just plain nothing. There is no evidence to suggest there is life after death.

Most likely he's just lying on a table in a morgue.

It's ambiguous if the best way to that world is that people stopped wishing death on others or that others stop deserving to be wished dead.

I think Bill cosby had a good take on it, something to the effect of, "I don't want to cause any bloodshed, I just want them to go away."

I believe this is what -most- people mean when they use the hyperbole of "I wish they were dead". I don't think -most- people actually want to cause harm, but rather remove those people from our lives. Metaphorically dead, not actually dead, as in, "he's dead to me."

Thank you, Bill.

I never wished death upon him, but I have to admit, all of a sudden I like him a whole lot better than I did, say, a few hours ago or yesterday. :)

I wish people would stop wishing that I'd stop wishing what I'm wishing.

There will always be fools, idiots, ideologues, fanatics, and the just plain crazy. In general they have no more power than we give them. They will never stop being fools or idiots. We're the ones who decide whether they deserve death (or to be followed.) I hope there comes a time when such people can amass neither hatred nor followers - only pity. Which is really all they "deserve."

I bet Larry Flynt's drinking a toast right now.:)

These charlatans can affect people (such as myself) even if we totally ignore them. For example when your parents are so taken in with them, that they draw up their will so that the charlatan gets the same portion of their estate as their own child. I am not joking.

I think I'll go partying tonight. I hear there is a big one at Larry Flynt's house.

Good point, let them live, but they'll never shut the fuck up until they croak...

and even when they do croak, there's plenty more taking their places... [:/]

He was at times portrayed as sanctimonious and hypocritical; yet I respect him for sticking to his beliefs and being unafraid of all the hatred and bile spewed at him from atheists and other left-wing types.

As a friend of mine sometimes said, "It takes all kinds to make up a world."

Why is sticking to your beliefs a virtue in itself? Hitler stuck to his beliefs, didnt make them right did it?
In fact an honest person will change their beliefs. I used to believe UFo 's were alien spaceships but on further investigation Ive realised that reasoning is not valid and Ive changed my beliefs. An honest intellectual may change their beliefs if the evidence demands it, a rigid dogmatic person will not.
