akarunway 1 #1 May 12, 2007 Just saw Bill Richardson on Jay Leno. He seemed well spoken and genuine. Thoughts/opinions? I'm trying to figuire out who's/what's best for this country right now. I'm very cynical.I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. I'm very cynical. Find the guy that absolutely is very qualified, but refuses to take the job. That's a good start. The guy that really wants the job should be automatically disqualified. Richardson is well spoken, IMO. So is Fred Thompson. Mitt Romney is well spoken, which means he's good at spinning lies into "mis-remembrances" or "As I've grown older, I've changed my mind on a lot of things." Such as "When I was younger I was an avid, active hunter" translates to "I went hunting for birds twice but never hit anything" and "I am in favor of a woman's right to choose" that became "I do not support abortion in any way." And my latest favorite "I can't support gay marriage, but do accept civil unions," which is now "Gays are an abomination." Be careful, it's a dangerous world out there. I was noticing that about McCain too.. He used to sound a hell of a lot different till he started PANDERING to the far Right in the last year... lately he is sounding more to the right that Ghengis Khan

He's one of the best in the democratic stable in my opinion, but he has about $3.50 in his campaign treasury, he's not going to last.So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! He was the only high-profile Republican who seemed to be able to think for himself. But suddenly a few months ago he started spouting utter bullshit. I can only surmise that he woke up one night and found a horse-head in his bed. He is no longer relevant."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones.
