wmw999 2,589 #1 May 5, 2007 Those Christians are at it again. From Hughes for America QuoteKansas University religious studies professor Paul Mirecki - a critic of Christian fundamentalism who had until recently intended to teach intelligent design as mythology - was beaten yesterday morning by two men who had been following him in a pickup truck. Mirecki said that his attackers "made references" to his recent notoriety. "I didn't know them," he said, "but I'm sure they knew me." Mirecki was going to breakfast when the truck began closely following him. He stopped, thinking it would pass. It didn't. "They got out, and I made the mistake of getting out," he said. The beating began almost instantly, as the assailants punched Mirecki in the head and shoulders, striking him with a metal object. I'm sure it's a lame and one-sided website. It might even be that those goobers don't represent Christianity. And it might be that stories about Christians in Islamic countries are just as one-sided as stories about Muslims in the US. Ya think? Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. n23x 0 #2 May 5, 2007 kansas? With butt-fucking over-the-top fundamental christian hillbillies? Wanting to kick some ass? It COULDN'T be! Every time I drive through kansas, I turn the radio off, for fear that my car might burst into flames if I actually started believing some of the shit they say. kansas should be a parking lot. It's not even a real state. note: I'm not joking about a goddamn thing in my entire post, kansas actually does suck that much balls. It doesn't even deserve capitol letters .jim"Don't touch my fucking Easter eggs, I'll be back monday." ~JTFC

About 4k's from where I write this, there is a school with a Muslim mosque, a Hindu temple and a Christian church (dunno which type) bordering the school. Children from all faiths attend this school. No problems! It also depends if there is whack job preaching or not! I don't think the locals here actually understand the faiths enough to be fanatical about them and you hardly ever see a Tanzanian lose their temper anyway. shropshire 0 #4 May 5, 2007 Sickening. I think that we mostly know that most peoples of the world are decent and peace-loving but there are always arseholes all over. They are generally in the minority but are louder and brasher than the rest of us, so get more attention. It's about time that the rest of us stood up to be counted and showed these idiots the zero tolerance that they so richly deserve!! (.)Y(.)
