tbrown 26 #52 July 13, 2008 Welcome back everybody ! Just 191 days to go. Let's see, what's the old boy been up to lately ? Hmmm, he's had Dick Cheney delete six pages of Congressional testimony from the CDC about the public health problems caused by global warming, because they "doubted the accuracy of the science". Old Dick Cheney sure is an authority on the science of public health - and he is too, if he can do this and get away with it. Then our Boy George has publicly anounced he's dropping the whole global warming mess into his successor's lap and washing his hands of 7 1/2 years of utter neglect and obstruction on the issue. He already anounced last year that he was doing much the same thing with the war in Iraq. However, this is understandable, as anything resembling work might interfere with his planned trip to the Olympic opening ceremonies in Beijing. Maybe the Chinese will let him throw out the first discus.... And finally, his parting remark at the G8 summit to his fellow heads of state, "Farewell from the world's number one polluter", after which he threw a few punches in the air. What a chump, doesn't he even realize we're number 2, after China ? No end of surprises with this old boy. What's next, a porn film with Nancy Reagan ? Stay tuned.... Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity !

tbrown 26 #54 July 14, 2008 190 days to go. Today our Dear Leader has lifted the ban on offshore drilling, which was ironically signed in 1990 by his dad, George I. Grab your hats and buckle your seatbelts, these next six months are going to be one last romp through the china shop before he goes home and leaves the mess for the rest of us to clean up. tbrown 26 #56 July 16, 2008 QuoteAnd this is different from pretty much EVERY Presidential turnover, how? Considering the extent of the damage that's been wreaked on every front in the last eight years, there is a great sense of impending relief, if not joy. that it will at last be over. Combined with a sense of dread at just how much more havoc a determined frat boy and his pals can inflict in just six months. 189 days and counting. Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity ! They someday may find a treatment for a case of CDS as bad as yours. If "CDS" means "showing the Dems that their folks are just as bad of a bunch of shitbags as they say the Reps are", then yep, I've got it. Rant: "The republicans are doing this and that and it's destroying the country!!" Reply: "The democrats did the same thing, that's nothing new. (gives examples). It takes both side of the aisle to get the laws passed." Rant: "CDIF!!" "CDS!!" "That was different!!" "The Reps do it WORSE!!" Gotta love it.... Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. billvon 3,109 #68 July 16, 2008 >If "CDS" means "showing the Dems . . . No. CDS is Clinton Derangement Syndrome, characterized by an inability to carry on any conversation about politics without blurting out "But Clinton . . . too bad Clinton . . . remember when Clinton . . . then Clinton . . . Clinton . . ." Generally such presidential derangements are transient in nature, and generally pass when a new president is elected. Your case seems to be a bit more acute, since it's been nearly eight years and you still can't seem to stop yourself from comparing everyone and everything to Bill Clinton. sfc 1 #74 July 19, 2008 a fitting tribute to our dear leader. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080718/ap_on_fe_st/presidential_putdown;_ylt=AlXlID2k0XWgqusd75tVYHYDW7oF Although I will avoid taking a shit in san francisco going if it is approved, I don't want bush to process my turds even if it is in name only. sfc 1 #75 August 4, 2008 QuoteWelcome to the Bush Countdown. As we mark each day to Bush's departure from the White House, we can keep track of the dear leader's glorious accomplishments. Today marks the fourth anniversary of the end of hostilities in Iraq. I would suggest a national holiday. To celebrate, immature behavior would be appropriate. Rent a flight suit and strut around like John Wayne. Say things like "bring it on". Only 630 days until Bush is gone. Only 168 days to go !!!! It's almost over. We will have a POTUS with a normally functioning brain again.
