I wonder how many parents are delighted their children are serving in Iraq? Proud? Of course. Delighted!!??

I can't wait for mine to be old enough to join the military and serve out there.:S

Insane!

I'm beyond the point of gobbin' off about the ... (I struggle to think of a suitable description here) .. Prime Minister (!).

I suspect he is nutcase and should be treated accordingly.

For what it's worth, I've a sneaking feeling we're going to miss Blair once Gordon Brown gets crowned.

Now there's something that pisses me off. If TB steps down, the PM's job should go to the deputy PM until a general election can be held (6 weeks max). None of this coronation crap.

still wondering how the Prince being deployed is going to play out...

pretty much a lose/lose situation. I'll be surprised if he deploys, but if he does the Royal Family will have my respect in a manner the Bush family never could...

hiding in a 'champaign' unit during an active conflict, then claiming 'veteran status' deserves no respect at all, then or now....

Regarding the Prince - I was recently in the Naafi waiting for a brew, after a few sorties - guess who came in - all by himself - and stood around waiting for a brew himself? I've no doubt he'll be a sound officer and leader to his men, given the chance.

And under his circumstances and lifestyle - respect.

Although in saying that, if he did start trying to tell me my job, he would receive a poke in the eye and a kick up the arse. But I sincerely believe he'd react in a more positive fashion to this than your general gay Sandhurst type.

Besides - how many Royal Princes dress up in Nazi uniforms and frequent titty bars?:S:)
The British Army will sort the boy out big time. He'll be a man in no time.

The Royal Family already has a long history of military service, not least Prince Andrew in the Falklands, and many others.

Harry is hardly hiding (ooh, alliteration), by all reports he wants to go.
